Forklift Train the Trainer Programs in California
NIS offers advanced Forklift Train the Trainer Programs for California businesses that want to manage forklift operator training in-house. Our Forklift Instructor Programs include Counterbalanced, Narrow Aisle, Powered Pallet Trucks, and Variable Reach RT forklifts. Students receive the knowledge, resources, and practical skills needed to educate, evaluate, and certify their own forklift operators.
All NIS Forklift Train the Trainer programs are built to support regulatory compliance for powered industrial truck operator training. For California employers, forklift training must align with Cal/OSHA requirements, including California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 3668, which covers powered industrial truck operator training, evaluation, refresher training, and workplace-specific instruction.
Our certified trainers help your team build a practical, documented forklift operator training program that supports Cal/OSHA compliance and prepares your company for inspections, audits, and day-to-day safety management.
Why Train Your Operators In-House?
In-house forklift training gives your company more control over how operators are trained, evaluated, and certified. Instead of relying on generic training alone, your team can deliver instruction based on the equipment your operators actually use and the conditions they work in every day.
For California workplaces, this is especially important because Cal/OSHA expects powered industrial truck training to include both truck-related and workplace-related topics. That means operators should understand not only the forklift itself, but also the surfaces, ramps, pedestrian traffic, loads, hazards, and operating conditions specific to your facility.
By developing your own qualified forklift trainers, your business can reduce training costs, improve scheduling flexibility, strengthen documentation, and create a safer working environment across warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, construction sites, ports, yards, and industrial operations throughout California.
